Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

We understand that the transition period can be a challenging time for any pupil, but those with special educational needs and/or disabilities often require extra support to make sure they are happy and confident in their new school.

We have a very experienced and supportive Learning Support Department at Cardinal Allen who are ready to welcome new pupils who require extra support. We treat each pupil as an individual and are very keen to work closely with pupils, parents and carers to ensure that any barriers to learning are removed and that pupils feel safe, settled and ready to learn!

Miss Smith (SENDCO), Mrs Cardwell (SENDCO Assistant) and Miss Haughton (Transition and Year 7 Key Worker) work closely with primary school SENDCOs to ensure that information is shared. We are here to offer any support you need so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
