Dear Parents and Carers
Please find below the link to the latest DfE guidance for schools on the Covid-19 virus which I hope you will find helpful. We are doing all we can to follow this guidance in school. Please do remind your child/children about the basic hygiene advice in this document.
Please refer to this advice if you have any concerns about your child/children.
The DfE have also launched a helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:
Phone: 0800 046 8687
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
The DfE have stated that no school should close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless directed to do so by Public Health England.
Public Health England has a dedicated webpage with a range of posters and digital materials at:
Copies of posters and reminders to wash hands will be around school. Please do support us by reinforcing the advice on the poster to your child/children. Toilets are checked regularly to ensure there is soap available. Cleaning routines have also been stepped up. We will be reminding pupils daily about handwashing and using tissues. I would be really grateful for your support in this situation, we all need to work together to protect everyone in our school community.
